The Bushvalley Abattoir was founded in 1988. It was subsequently sold to RCL Foods in 2012. Ryall Chicken Producers then purchased the abattoir in August 2017 with the aim to produce poultry products for the South African market. Since 2017 we have expanded significantly by increasing fresh, frozen- and value-added products to balance the demand.

We currently employ approximately 1000 staff members in the following divisions – processing, agri, fleet drivers, engineering, refrigeration, water reticulation, laboratory etc. The staff contribute to the success of the Bushvalley Group. Team work is the order of the day.

Without the support of our great team of commercial growers that supply the abattoir with (excellent) quality chickens, the abattoir would not be where it is today! One of the leading privately owned abattoirs in South Africa.

Bushvalley has customers within all the provinces of South Africa. We also have Select Retail Stores located in Tzaneen, Giyani, Makhado, Malamulele, Nkowankowa and Paledi that supply our products to the public.
